Oncologists’ perceptions of head and neck cancer treatment
Every project we run is covered by confidentiality agreements. That is why this page describes the method, scope and deliverables, but does not identify the client, brand, product or date.
Challenge
A company in the healthcare sector needed to understand the perspective of oncologists experienced in treating patients with head and neck cancer, particularly those with direct clinical contact with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma cases.
The challenge was reaching professionals with sufficient experience and a predominantly clinical practice. To ensure profile adherence, participants had to have more than three years of professional experience and devote more than 60% of their time directly to patient treatment.
The research also had to be conducted remotely, making it possible to reach specialists in different locations across Brazil without restricting recruitment to specific cities.
Methodology applied
- Recruitment of 30 oncologists in Brazil, following specific criteria of experience and clinical practice
- Individual online interviews with professionals specialized in head and neck oncology
- Selection of specialists with more than three years of professional experience
- Inclusion of professionals who devote more than 60% of their time to direct patient treatment
- Recruitment of oncologists experienced in treating patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma
- Interviews lasting 40 minutes
- Operation with no restriction to specific cities, allowing broader geographic coverage in Brazil
- Management of recruitment and participant incentives
